Furthermore, the services offer different forms of surveillance of the customer assets. As an example, in the cold chain domain when a temperature value gets out of bound, an alarm is immediately generated and made visible in the control center. This alarm will then either be transmitted by an operator of IP01 call center or it will be forwarded in electronic form (SMS, e-mail), the option depending on the type of service contract. The local responsible will then verify the temperature and immediately do what is necessary. This procedure provides early failure detection and avoids foodstuff loss. At the same time, it ensures that the same decision criteria are applied throughout the whole cold chain.

Authorized users may consult the current status of the controlled process and assets at any time and from anywhere. They can, for example, see at a glance which points are out of bound as these will change color on a site map. Daily and weekly summaries are available to assist the technical workforce in their maintenance activities. An efficient management is the end result.
